The stock pressure piping is made of plastic and has several unnecessary bends and angles. These odd bends restrict the turbo's response time and cause horsepower to be lost. Just think about a garden hose, if you bend the hose, you'll notice a drop in water pressure/volume. Its the same thing with the OEM intercooler hoses!
Not only does the Injen Intercooler Pressure Piping improve on the OEM hoses by having softer bends and more straight sections, but they also shortened the length of the piping, which improves the speed in which the turbo builds up boost and the engine responds to you pushing down on the gas pedal!
On the Dyno this pressure piping yielded a 7 HP and torque peak gain, and at redline a nearly 15 HP gain over stock. The higher you rev your engine, the more efficient this piping becomes in comparison to the stock plastic piping, providing more power and improving throttle response.
Note: This kit consists of two pieces of aluminum mandrel bent, USA made intercooler piping. This kit reuses your OEM couplers, and does not come with any couplers.
