Some Neon SRT-4 owners have had galled crankshaft snouts from their ATI pulley spinning on the crankshaft.
This kit fixes that issue. This pinning kit allows you to drill a precision hole in the crank snout, insert the pin, and then lock the ATI pulley in place
This kit contains:
- Aluminum drilling fixture
- Custom bolt to secure drilling fixture
- Pin
Installation procedure: 1) put the aluminum drilling fixture on the center of the ATI pulley and screw the bolt in to secure the drilling fixture. Align the ground side of the bolt head to the pin hole for clearance of the drill bit. 2) Use a new or sharp 3/16 bit, carefully measure on the drill bit the length of the pin to make sure the pin will sit flush with the face of the ATI pulley hub so that the crank bolt will cover the pin head. We recommend putting tape on the length of the pin on the bit so you know where to stop, or use a bit stopper. Drill slowly, use lubricant, drill the pin hole, blow out the hole, reinstall crank bolt, tighten with 100 ft lbs, use blue loctite.
