If you're planning on swapping a 2.4L engine into your 95-99 Neon and want power steering, in the past you'd more than likely use a PT Cruiser bracket. The problem with that power steering bracket was that it:

Didnt have the correct spacing to place the power steering pump in line with the crank pulley. You have to then use a bunch of washers to space it in line with the crank pulley.

There are no adjustment slots cut to allow for the power steering to be tensioned.

Over time, because the bracket only bolts on with two holes, it will begin to crack and fail like the bracket shown in the photos above. This has happened with a LOT of Neon owners with a 2.4L swap.

So, in order to have a properly tensioning power steering pump, as well as have a solid bracket that will never crack, we came up with the MPx 2.4L Power Steering bracket.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE BRACKET

The MPx 2.4L Power Steering bracket is a 1/4 inch steel bracket thats bent and welded solid and then powdercoated in semi gloss black for durability. Its held in place with THREE bolts to the block so that there is no twisting of the bracket. This bracket is so strong you could use it as a lifting point to pull the engine out of the engine bay!

TENSIONING THE POWER STEERING PUMP

In order to make adjusting easy, we have put in a third bolt, as a pivot point on the power steering pump. This way in order to adjust the tension on the PS pump you just loosen the two bolts on the outside as well as the pivot point and the power steering pump with pivot on the axis of the pivot bolt. Then just tighten down all bolts and it will be held securely in place!

USING THIS BRACKET WITH VARIOUS INTAKE MANIFOLDS

We have test fitted the MPx Power Steering bracket with a stock intake manifold as well as the AMM (All Motor Mike) intake manifold and it fits perfectly. No clearance problems. We have not test fitted this bracket with other intake manifolds, but due to the design, we dont think there will be any clearance problems regardless.

We provide all new bolts and washers to install this bracket so nothing else is needed to install.

BELT SIZING

If you're going to install power steering and ac, along with either the MPx pulley or the Unorthodox pulleys, the belt size is 15445 Gates brand belt or a 45 inch belt. You can purchase this belt seperately from us for $14.99.

If you're going to only run power steering without AC along with a MPx or Unorthodox pulley, then the belt size is 37 inches, or a 15437 Gates belt. We do not supply this belt, but you can buy it at your local auto parts store.
